About me

Joseph (Joe) Parks is a Texas attorney and consultant whose practice focuses on school safety, workplace investigations and training. A licensed attorney since 2004, he has experience in employment law, commercial litigation, school law and open government law. Joe previously worked as an employment law associate for a mid-sized Dallas law firm, and later served more than a decade as the Executive Director of Safety and Security for one of Texas’ largest school districts. He is an honorably retired command-level peace officer with over 20 years diverse public safety experience.
Joe is a TEA Registered Provider of continuing education training for school boards, a Registered Consultant listed in the Texas School Safety Center Registry and holds certificates as a Master Peace Officer, Instructor, Mental Health Peace Officer and Firearms Instructor from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Joe is a regular speaker/presenter on topics involving workplace misconduct investigations, HR/compliance, school safety and law enforcement at the local, regional and state level.
